Wythe County Democrats will hold our monthly general meeting on Tuesday, June 16 at 6pm at the Wytheville Training School Cultural Center (410 E Franklin St.). You can find our meeting agenda and May minutes attached. As we head into the summer, the midterms are fast approaching and we need to prepare. Bring a friend, family member, neighbor, or whoever is concerned about the direction of our country because we need everyone to stand up.

We have three declared Democratic candidates for the 9th Congressional District, Adam Murphy, Douglas Crockett, & Joy Powers.  You can find out more information about them below, and we’ll share events from each campaign. It is fantastic that we have three great candidates.

The primary election is upon us with election day on Tuesday, August 4th with early voting opening on June 18th at the Wythe County Registrar’s Office. Learn more about voting in Wythe County below.

Senator Mark Warner is also up for re-election as the Democratic nominee. Find more about his campaign and how to get involved below.

While we don’t have any officially partisan local offices on the ballot in 2026, we do have plenty of non-partisan offices on the ballot this year.

Remember the final day to file for these elections is June 16th which is right around the corner.  While these aren’t partisan offices, if anyone is interested in running, and would like additional information or assistance please reach out.
